Anniversary Skeleton 10 l.e.

The watch with which Prokop & Brož chose to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the founding of their watch manufacture was unveiled at the SEW Praha watch exhibition in October, which can fairly be called the watchmaking event of 2022 in the Czech Republic. So why did the role of the anniversary watch fall to the Classic Skeleton? Over the company’s history so far, watches with a skeletonized movement have become by far the most sought-after item in its range. In the ten years of the company’s existence, more than 40 Skeletons have been sold in various versions and material specifications. Given the nature of the company’s core business – the bespoke making of watches – this is a truly unique figure. Many other and even far more exceptional watches have certainly been made, but most of them were one-off pieces. Even the limited series František Kupka Salon d'Automne Paris 1912 comprised only 12 pieces... The success of the skeletonized watches surely lies in their ability to reveal the beauty of mechanical movements and of the watchmaking craft in general. Indeed, the design of the main plates and bridges was created with this message in mind. The fact that the Opus and Classic Skeleton watches have won the favor of so many watch lovers and become part of their private collections confirms that the design and overall direction of the Prokop & Brož brand are on the right track. By the time the watch was presented at the Salon Exceptional Watches at Žofín, three pieces of this ten-piece series already had their future owners.
