This marine chronometer is a joint work of our company Prokop & Brož and the renowned glass artist Jan Frydrych. He brought to the project not only his craftsmanship and the experience of a lifetime of work with art glass, but also a unique artistic signature. His original work is known worldwide, and his modern glass sculptures grace the collections of many lovers of this art form. Jan Frydrych is also known as the long-standing executor of art objects for the world-famous architect Václav Cigler. Prokop & Brož contributed its design and engineering skills to the project and, of course, carried out all of the watchmaking work. It is no coincidence that the design of the clock movement's upper section matches the popular regulator-type wristwatches, of which the Prokop & Brož collection includes many variants. The construction of the Chronometer also uses several unique solutions that proved themselves in the Hercule sports watches, which were developed in the same period. In fact, the name of the most prestigious line of Prokop & Brož sports watches is derived from the place where this marine chronometer was presented – Port Hercule. It was there that the Chronometer was first presented to the public at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2014. In early December it made its premiere on the American continent, where it was exhibited together with other art objects by Jan Frydrych at the prestigious SeaFair Miami 2014, an exhibition intended for the most discerning clientele of collectors and lovers of modern art.
